breaking news
The Hub City is being thrust into the national spotlight once again. On Friday night, the familiar Chippendales incident will be profiled in a report for ABCs 20/20. Its been a year and a half since the well-known Chippendales fiasco, when 8 dancers and several others were thrown in jail after Lubbock police said they were breaking the law during a show. Friday night, ABCs John Stossel takes a look at sex in the public sector and whether or not city and state governments should be able to regulate sexual matters. He spoke with former mayor David Miller, and today we talked with Scott Stevenson, who owned Jakes when the bizarre incident took place. "I think were glad for it to be over with. It was a silly thing that happened, should have never happened, but I love our town, and Im glad for us to move on and for this to be behind us."
