DOLLY-LUBBOCKpkg2008-07-23-1216863552.jpgAs Hurricane Dolly batters the coast, The Hub City is prepared to help however we can. Lubbock emergency crews have been training year-round to respond to disasters like Dolly. A Hazards Incident Management Team--made up of 4 people -- left for the Gulf Coast several days ago. The crew is manning a distribution point outside of Brownsville, theyre handing out ice and water to aid organizations stationed there. Says Mark Etheridge of the Lubbock Fire Department, "Were really fortunate here in Lubbock to have the training and experience thats needed in other parts of the state so we can go help them when were not affected."
