"It's old it needs mega repair it's just very costly to run."

City Council met this morning and approved the health department move, six to one.

It will go from its current location at 19th and Texas, to Crickets Avenue.

"I think it's our job as council to at least give them the opportunity to be here."

Council members hope to have it up and running by October 1st.

But some disagree with the new location.

"When you're dealing with entertainment districts you get a lot of trauma and a lot of other problems in that area...this is not a suitable place for a pediatric clinic."

Gibson says although some do have concerns, the building is in much better shape and will be cheaper to run

"Their concerns were we were going to spend a lot of money and possibly be there for just three years which I think we squelched that today."
