From crayons to binders if you haven't gotten them yet this weekend might be your best bet to save a little money on school supplies.
"I've got my new backpack my spiral my crayons markers and pens and erasers, I got some new jeans, I got these and I got a leopard shirt with pink pants," said 4th grade shopper Ashton Cox.
Some back to school shoppers like Cox seem to have everything under control, but for others like Diane Doty the list of school supplies seems a little overwhelming.
"They need a lot of stuff," said Doty.
With tax free weekend starting today, there's plenty of time to find some good deals on back to school needs.
But some say they aren't brave enough to fight the crowds.
"I'll probably wait until after tax free weekend to avoid the crowds," said Doty.
A good weekend to save a little money, but for some students across the South Plains they need your help to fill up their backpacks.
You can donate any extra supplies to the Salvation Army or the school supply drive at United Super Markets
Melody Paton said it's important for those kids to be ready for the first day of classes.
"Having a new backpack new school supplies new clothes just gives them the right step up to have a great school year," said Paton.
