Leonard Under Scrutiny

A Lubbock City Council member is under scrutiny after details of his divorce case become public.
Councilman John Leonard was found to be in contempt of court by a divorce court judge. He was sentenced to a suspended 60 days in jail if he fails to pay spousal support payments.
The final signatures have not been made on the legal agreement.
A local TV station inaccurately reported that Leonard would be going to jail and revealed intimate details over his personal relations found in court documents.
Now opinions across the Hub City are split over whether or not Leonard has been treated fairly and if the TV station had gone too far.
Leonard was not available for an interview, but he did say he appreciated the accurate and sensitive coverage KLBK provided.
