Chris Walker Takes over Coaching duties in Gillispie's Absence

As Billy Gillispie takes care of his health issues at The Mayo Clinic, In Rochester Minnesota, back home Associate Head Coach Chris Walker is taking over the day to day duties in his absence.
Walker has 16 years of coaching experience at the college level. Before coming to Texas Tech last year he spent two seasons at his Alma-Mater, Villinova, under Jay Wright.
Prior to that he spent time as an assistant with Bob Knight's protege Steve Alford at New Mexico.
Other coaching stops include UMass, Vanderbilt, where he was also the Associate Head Coach, Pepperdine, and Loyola Marymount.
