Eric Ward was back in the lineup after missing last week
And right off the bat, Doege found Ward for the 20 yard touchdown and the Red Raiders took the 7-0 lead and that would become a trend throughout the night.
Later in the 1st, The Red Raiders did it on the ground, as Eric Stephens took one in from 21 yards out putting the Red Raiders up 14-0.
It worked once and they went to it again Doege to Ward from 39 yards out, Tech in total control 21-7.
As for Doege and Ward at it again, third time is the charm, another touchdown from the duo made it 28-7 Tech Eric Ward came back with a bang, 5 catches for 90 yards and 3 touchdowns.
But Doege wasn't done. Still in the 2nd quarter Doege waited a little bit before finding Jace Amaro in the back of the Endzone, Tech took the 35-14 lead.
But they were far from done in the 1st half, when Kramer Fyfe kicked a pooch kick, And no one from New Mexico got on it so Tech recovered the ball with under a minute to play.
