You may see lower prices at the pump, but restaurants are still feeling a pinch in their pocketbooks. In June, we visited the One Guy From Italy Restaurant and the delivery men were finding it hard to make a profit with gas prices close to four dollars. Two months later, owner Sal Mazzamuto says hes raising prices on his pizza because the slight decrease in gas prices is just too slight to help with food costs and a weak economy. "You dont even see that difference because they still feel like theyre paying a lot. Twenty cents dont mean nothing. Twenty cents is a drop in a bucket," says Mazzamuto. To help his delivery men make ends meet, he says he raised pay rates this summer.
