Lubbock Woman Dies When Train Hits Car

21-year-old Shelbi McClure was a sophomore pre-nursing major at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, and a former Trinity Christian School student here in Lubbock.

Canyon Police tell us she died just after midnight, Monday night / Tuesday morning, where 4th street in Canyon intersects with the railroad tracks there.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, after the train hit her car.

Canyon police are still investigating the cause of the crash, and have not yet released more details by noon, Tuesday.
