Car Hits Pedestrian Near 42nd & Slide Road

Lubbock police continue to investigate an overnight accident that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.

It happened around 11:30, Sunday night near 42nd and Slide Road.

Police say the pedestrian was seriously hurt after a car hit him.

EMS took that person to University Medical Center.

Police haven't released the name of the vic tim or any information about the driver of that car, but we are told the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.
