Abernathy Beats Springlake-Earth 20-7

A big 2A/1A matchup between the Abernathy Antelopes and the Springlake-Earth Wolverines. The Wolverines ranked 3rd in the state in Class A but with a tough Challenge tonight against the Antelopes of 2A. Spring Lake Earth moving it in the first, John Angel Yannis finding Elder Rojas the quick screen goes for 23 yards. Setting up Nathan Garcia right up the middle, a 7-yard touchdown run. The Wolverines with the early 7-0 lead.

To second Abernathy trying to answer, Garrett Royal checks everything out then deciding to just tuck it and go, a 25-yard gain. More on the ground from the Antelopes A.B. Cantu finding some space taking a big chunk out of the defense with a 25-yard run.

The very next play, Cantu again getting into the endzone from three yards out and touchdown Antelopes, tying it up at 7. Abernathy up 14-7 at half.

Springlake-Earth falls to Abernathy 20-7.
