Another big 2A/1A matchup tonight the high powered New Deal offense stepping out of district hosting Coach Chad Terry and the Slaton Tigers. First quarter a defensive battle here as Dylan Massey is undercut by Quaylon McDaniel. More from him later, New Deal would punt.
Ensuing Slaton possesion Bryce Whaley, this guy is dangerous outside the pocket but Abraham Villareal corrals him here to force a Slaton punt.
Next possession for the Tigers though after Whaley went out because his helmet got knocked off Quaylon McDaniel comes in and throws a touchdown. 6-0 Slaton.

But here comes New Deal. Dominic Pena breaks to the outside and hes looking for someone to hit and he finds him right there first down New Deal.

Later in the drive Kyler Bean finds Xavier Hernandez, but Terrance McDaniel puts a stop to that with the big hit.

Second quarter same drive, New Deal gets on the board here as Hunter Harper goes in from one yard out, 2 point conversion is good, 8-6 Lions.

New Deal takes this one 38-37.
