Despite a struggling U.S. economy, some good news announced today in Lubbock that will boost our economy.

Flat Wireless, the Texas Division of Clear Talk, will create nearly 70 new jobs in Lubbock and Amarillo.

The Hub City will also be the home of Clear Talk's regional headquarters.

The folks at Clear Talk say they chose to have their headquarters here over Amarillo because Texas Tech provides a great hiring base.

Clear Talk's Scott Bratcher says they are looking to fill a wide variety of positions.

"We're filling anything from sales jobs, retail sales rep positions, corporate executive positions since our headquarters is in Lubbock, finance positions, logistics type positions, so it's just a wide range of jobs that we'll be filling," Bratcher says.

Lubbock's Llano Estacado Winery also announced a million dollar expansion that will also include three new jobs.
