The Texas Tech and Oklahoma volleyball match scheduled for Oct. 17 will be aired nationally on FOX College Sports, Learfield Sports and FOX Sports officials announced Wednesday. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.

The match will be the second broadcast as part of the multi-year agreement between Fox Sports, Learfield Sports, and Texas Tech that was signed in September. The Red Raider football season opener against Northwestern State opened the agreement as the game was shown on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.

"This should be a high-quality, competitive Big 12 match and we're excited that it is going to be shown nationally," Tech head coach Don Flora said. "This will be a great opportunity for Red Raider fans outside the Lubbock area to see us play and we hope to have a large crowd in attendance as well."

The Red Raiders and Sooners battled to five sets a year ago before 25th-ranked Oklahoma escaped Lubbock with a 3-2 victory. Oklahoma is currently receiving votes in the AVCA top 25 poll for the fifth-straight week after opening the 2012 season with a 14-5 record heading into a match later this evening with No. 21 Kansas.

Texas Tech will also be hosting its annual Dig for the Cure promotion against the Sooners as all fans wearing pink will receive complimentary admission. The Red Raiders will be wearing pink uniforms as well to help promote breast cancer awareness.
