Texas Tech Knocks Off No. 5 WVU, 49-14

Geno Smith and his No. 5 West Virginia Mountaineers came into Lubbock riding high off their 48-45 victory over Texas in Austin last Saturday. Well what a way to bring them down.
Texas Tech showing some southern hospitality with a big welcome to the Big 12 looking to hand the Mountaineers their first loss of the year.
On the first drive Seth Doege takes off for a 23 yard run setting up this... Doege with a 39 yard pass to Jace Amaro for the TD... Tech strikes first, 7-0.
Doege finds another one of his weapons, a 19 yarder to Eric Ward for the TD making it 14-0.
The Mountaineers with some action here Geno Smith connects with Stedman Bailey for a 7 yard touchdown, Tech up 14-7.
Second quarter, a 61-yard pass to Jace Amaro and that will set up a touchdown from Marcus Kennard. Tech now 21-7.
Later it's a 2 yard pass to Darrin Moore for another touchdown, 28-7. Tech really taking off here.
SaDale Foster getting in on the action, a 53-yard rush into the end zone making it 35-7.
Now into the third a 29 yard touchdown pass to Darrin Moore the Red Raiders won't quit tacking on more points 42-7.
Heading to the fourth Darrin Moore here again receiving a 7 yarder from Doege for the TD, 49-7.
West Virginia will finally with some kind of response Dustin Garrison with a 2 yard rush for the TD to make it 49-14 but it's too late for the Mountaineers and Lubbock is rocking the Red Raiders on top 49-14.
