"Huge excitement everyone is like 'you better be going to the game. You have to go our team is doing so good. We have to support them and get them pumped' definitely everyone has a fever this year," said Simone Dominguez, junior at Texas Tech.

Dominguez is one of many fans that has caught the Tech fever.

"I hope we can keep the momentum going. Because I think as opposed to last year, I think it was a fluke last year but i think we have the talent to advance this year," said Jacob Lane, also a junior at Tech.

Tech students aren't the only ones celebrating Saturday's homecoming win. Red Raider Outfitter saw a spike in sales after the game.

"The town was really loud everyone was excited we had a big rush of people after the game come to get the West Virginia shirts," said Stephanie Hartwig, GM at Red Raider Outfitter.

Hartwig says she hasn't seen this type of excitement since Tech upset UT back in 2008. They've even made special shirts to commemorate the game.

"We usually do game day shirts for the big games, then after the game we start working on score shirts, so today was really busy with people coming in to get the score shirts so that they can remember that game forever," said Hartwig.

But for some fans, the memory of rushing the field is enough.

Senior Philip Robb said, "Having been at three or four field rushes and only one as a student I can definitely tell you I've seen some of the most rowdy."

"It was painful. When I jumped onto the field I missed the rail and I face-planted onto the turf. I got up and ran out, so that was kind of unpleasant. But the rush itself was great," said Lane.

The Red Raiders take on TCU next Saturday at 2:30 pm.
