Today Texas Tech finds the No. 18 spot in the latest AP poll after yesterday's 49-14 upset over West Virginia and the Tech defense, a huge factor in that win.
The chain gang shut down Geno Smith and his explosive offense with the Red Raider defense coming in as the nation's number one pass defense, West Virginia only had one play longer than 20 yards. They finished the day with 275 total yards which is 110 yards less than its average.
