LCU basketball teams look good in preseason polls

Basketball preseason polls are in and the Lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian are at the top.
The LCU women's
basketball team is the preseason pick of the Sooner Athletic Conference Coaches
to win the 2012-13 league title. LCU received seven of the possible eight
first-place votes and 63 points. The Lady Chaps return three starters from last
season's Fab Four team, which went
28-6 overall and a claimed a share of the regular season conference title of a
21-1 conference mark.
And the men's basketball team of LCU also doing well. They received one of their best preseason projections, picked fourth amongst the nine other programs. The Chaps finished tied for fifth last season going 11-11 in the first season under head coach Todd Duncan, and 15-15 overall. The Chaps tip off the season November 1, in Abilene against Texas Wesleyan.
