Lubbock Christian University opened its arms to a new class of students Wednesday. Faculty and staff were out this morning to greet about 300 families and help freshmen move in to dorms. Staff believe its important to be there for the students on the very first day of their arrival to show how invested they are in LCU students college experience. "In a couple of days, those students will be in their classes and that student will say oh youre the guy, youre the lady, whomever, that helped carry my refrigerator in and helped make that connection," says LCU staff member Warren McNeill. Freshmen started orientation at LCU Wednesday as well. For the next five days theyll meet classmates, professors and learn more about Lubbock.
