One Dead, Another Critical After Shooting in Snyder

One person was airlifted to UMC and another killed after a shooting in Snyder on Friday night.
Snyder Police responded to the call around 9:40 Friday night, according to a statement released Saturday.
According to the statement, a 55-year-old female and a 26-year-old female were both shot and taken to Cogdell Hospital in Snyder.
The 26-year-old female was pronounced dead at the hospital and the 55-year-old female was rushed to UMC by AeroCare.
Police say 52-year-old James Smith has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting and the case is still under investigation.
Victim names were being withheld as of Saturday afternoon pending notification of the victims' families.
