astors2007-06-19-1182226281.jpgLUBBOCK, Texas: Chad Bettis is in Oklahoma for the 31st annual Sunbelt Baseball Series, but you have to wonder if that's where his focus is.  The former Monterey hurler has yet to make a decision on whether he'll turn pro or stick around the Hub City and play for Texas Tech.  And with the enormity of this decision we turned to former Texas Tech pitcher Colt Hynes, who was drafted this year by the San Diego Padres organization, to get some insight on Bettis' situation.  Hynes acknowledged the big opportunity that exists with turning pro, but he also made a pitch for going to Tech and getting a few years of experience playing Big 12 baseball before making the jump to the pros.  Either way, we'll keep you updated on Bettis' status.
