Texas Tech Falls To #3 Kansas State, 55-24

Kansas State holding true to their No. 3 ranking. Tech holding with them in the first half but K-State with much more experience in close games, and it showed.

Tech coming out strong in the first, Seth Doege finding Eric ward for a 32-yard touchdown and Tech takes the early lead, 7-0.

Kansas State ball, and Collin Klein is sacked by Dartwan Bush for a loss of 7, ending the drive.

Seth Doege on the snap and he is just crushed by Meshak Williams. The ball comes loose and Jarrell Childs scoops it up and he's off, 66 yards to the endzone but a break for the Red Raiders as illegal blocking is called and they'll settle for a field goal.

But later in the second, K-State 2nd and goal and John Hubert finds the endzone for the TD and the extra point is good. We are all tied up at 10.

It's fourth and 8 for Tech at K-State's 32 and Ryan Bustin for the field goal but it is blocked. K-State takes over. Fourth and goal and they'll settle for a field goal to take their first lead of the game, 13-10 and it will remain that way going into the half.

Second half Kansas State 2nd and ten at Tech's 21 and Tramaine Thompson reels this one in from Klein, a 21-yard TD. KSU 20-10.

Seth Doege pass complete to Eric Ward and it is fumbled and recovered by Randall Evans who takes it 19 yards to Tech's 20. Texas Tech gets a penalty, a 15 yard personal foul on Kenny Williams.

And Tech's defense disappearing on K-State's very next possession. Collin Klein driving it 16 yards for the score, Wildcats breaking away 27-10.

Finally Tech gets going here, SaDale Foster gets an 8-yard rush for 6 and the Ryan Bustin extra point good, KSU still up 27-17.

But here comes K-State again. Klein takes the snap at Tech's 22 and will turn it into his 16th rushing touchdown on the year, Wildcats up 34-17. They are on a roll, pounding away here as John Hubert showing his face again this time with a 15-yard rush for the touchdown, 41-17. But they don't stop there, pouring salt on the wound, the Wildcats defense stepping in, intercepting Doege's pass. Arthur Brown on the return, 37 yards for the TD and the Wildcats running away with this one, 55-24.
