Police are still searching for a suspect in what appears to be a break in at the federal building.

LPD received a call earlier this evening that there was a broken window in the southeast part of the building.

They found blood on the window and took samples for evidence.

LPD officers and other federal agents set up a perimeter around the block while police dogs and officers scoured the building for a suspect or other evidence.

Officers were running in and out of the building with assault rifles.

No one was working in the building at the time, but representatives from each federal agency were called in to make sure nothing was stolen or tampered with.

The police officer we spoke with tells us the broken window didn't trigger an alarm and the breach appears to be contained to that one area of the building.

We'll keep working to get you the latest updates starting tomorrow morning starting at six and always on-line at everythinglubbock.com.
