breaking news
Monday is the first day of school for children across the state, but kids arent the only ones getting ready to go back to school. Durham Transportation is making sure their bus drivers are ready for Mondays routes. Drivers completed a summer workshop to brush up on skills, and now are asking you to brush up on the rules of the road. Make sure you stop for a school bus when its red lights are flashing and its stop sign is out. This will help keep our students safe. "I know theres gonna be a lot of kids walking on every street and theres gonna be a million cars every which way. So were just gonna be driving slow looking out for all our students," says driver Lecia Perez. Durham Transportation has hired fifteen new drivers to help complete their 64 routes around the county.
