1. Sandy Threatening 50M East Coast Residents
Experts say Hurricane Sandy is threatening some 50 million people along the east coast and some $80 billion in property is in the crosshairs. Sandy is a category 1 storm with winds of 75 miles per hour that is projected to make landfall near Atlantic City, New Jersey sometime before midnight Monday night.
2. Obama, Romney Alter Campaign Plans
3. Sandy Death Toll at 65
Officials raised the Sandy related death toll in the Caribbean to 65. Fifty-one of those deaths were reported in Haiti.
4. New York Stock Exchanged Closed
The New York Stock Exchange will be shut down on Monday as New York City prepares for Hurricane Sandy. The shutdown could be extended through Tuesday depending on destruction.
5. Giants Win World Series
The San Francisco Giants won the World Series with a four-game sweep over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The Giants beat the Tigers 4-3 to win their second World Series title in three years.
