Monterey fell in the first round of the
Volleyball playoffs to an old 5-A rival, Amarillo High tonight.
Early on The Lady Sandies, Riley Kilburn
with a palm ball serve, lady Plainsman couldn't handle it, ace for Amarillo.
Back comes Monterey with a ace of
their own Cece Kelly, nicely done, It's
an all ace contest early, but the Lady Plainsman still trailed
Later, Sandies serving, and Monterey played it perfectly
to set up Karyoline McMillan with the big right hand gets the kill, point lady
plainsman.
But the lady Sandies were too much on Monday night. They're #6 in the state for a reason, they get the sweep 25-16, 25-9 and 25-15.
