A family of trick-or-treaters were hit by a motorcycle Halloween night while trying to cross Quaker Avenue at 47th Street
"They were crossing the street and I made a stop, the guy next to me made a stop and a motorcycle just came right in between us and hit the lady and the child and the child flipped and everybody just stopped,' said a witness.
It happened just after 8:15 p.m. Halloween night.
Witnesses say a mom, dad and two small kids crossing Quaker avenue.
"He just went right in between both of us and I just slammed on my horn. it was too late."
That's when they say a motorcycle tried to miss the family, swerved and crashed into them injuring four people.
"It makes you feel bad, you got to slow down."
In other parts of town there were lots of rawrs, boos and screams across Lubbock this Halloween night.
Kiddos around Lubbock suited up in their costumes and hit the streets trick or treating for all the candy their bags could hold.
"This year we bought about 40 bags of candy."
And that's what the trick-or-treaters like to hear.
Many parents we spoke with say they enjoy taking their kiddos trick-or-treating in their neighborhoods but tonight's accident is just another reminder to take extra safety precautions whether your a parent or in this case even a driver.
