October jobs report: Unemployment at 7.9 percent

The Labor Department said Friday the U.S. economy added 171,000 jobs in October, and that the unemployment was at 7.9 percent. The closely watched report is the last snapshot on the employment situation ahead of Tuesday's presidential election.
