Now to another district where there is plenty of playoff positioning going on in District 2-3A and we start with the Cooper Pirates coming off their overtime win over Andrews last week. Taking on the Jarek Black-less and undefeated Shallowater Mustangs but Kade Willis picked up the slack nicely in Shallowater's last game against Andrews. Cooper needing a win to keep pace in the district tonight, but a tall task in Shallowater.

First drive for Shallowater, they had problems with the snaps all night, As Connor Fields picks it up but swallowed up by the pirates.

After a punt, Travis Windham finding his man in the flats and he has space, first down Cooper. Later in the drive fourth and short Windham with the quick pass to Zak Odom sniffed out by Marcus Cuevas turnover on downs, but Shallowater would have to punt and more Windham finding McLane Sanderson another first down.

Finally, the Pirates capitalizing, Ryan Moseley catching the hitch and putting some moves on no ones going to catch him dives in the end zone, 6-0 Cooper.

But Shallowater wins in overtime 21-20.

Next week Cooper has a big matchup with the Estacado Matadors.
