A Lubbock man is killed after a Sunday morning motorcycle accident.

The accident brings the number to ten motorcycle fatalities this year alone.

31-year-old Travis Walker hit a gate at the South Plains Fairgrounds just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

He later died at University Medical Center.

Walker was at the Giant Side of Texas Motorcycle Rally that took place at the fairgrounds over the weekend.

Walker worked at Wild West Harley-Davidson about a year and a half ago.

Wild West General Manager says Walker was a great asset to his store.

"(He was a) very good craftsman on motorcycles, could work on anything just a good guy, very friendly guy, hard worker, good guy," General Manager Danny Barnhill says.

Barnhill says he last spoke to Walker on Saturday at the rally.
