All You Need to Know to Vote in Lubbock Co.

"That really makes it convenient for them," said Lubbock Elections Administrator Dorothy Kennedy. "They can text in 75044 with their zip code of where they want to vote whether it's your house or your place of work."
Once you send that text, you'll get one back telling you the three closest voting centers to your zip code. And which ever location you choose, you can't go wrong.
"What a 'vote center' is, it allows you to go to any one of the 37 voting locations that we have," said Kennedy. "Lubbock County residents are used to having vote centers. We've been doing this in November since 2006. There's no wrong place to vote."
And since Citibus is giving free rides to polling places, Ms. Kennedy says there's no excuse to skip out on voting.
"We have a great deal going with Citibus," said Kennedy. "If you show them your voter certificate, and tell them you're going to go vote, they will take you to and from the poll for free on election day. No excuse there are lots of ways to get to the polls tomorrow."
But before you head out, make sure you bring the right identification.
"If folks take their yellow voter registration card with them, which they should have received in the mail this summer, and if they take this that will be great because we are not requiring a photo ID for this election," said Kennedy.
"If they don't have their voter certificate, then they can take their drivers license from DPS, a passport, birth certificate, military ID, even a current bill from LP&L or their bank statements," Kennedy said. "So anything like that will work."
Whatever form of ID you decide on, Ms. Kennedy says to show up early.
"There will be long lines because this is election day so if you missed early voting, those 12 great days that were ahead of us I'm sorry, but tomorrow just be patient and wear some comfortable shoes because you will have a wait when you go to the polls."
