The city had a major water line break aroung 5 o'clock this morning leaving businesses downtown with little to no water.

"After doing a few minutes on the show," Esparza said.  "I never drink coffee, I figured I'll just make some coffee for the crew here.  I went back here and had a little trickle of water and thought man."

Esparza dj's the morning show on KEJS FM from 6-9AM.

He said he knew what the problem was as soon as he noticed there was a change.

"Since they've been working on  some stuff up here downtown so I figured it was in conjuction," Esparza said.

Esparza received an e-mail from the city this morning explaining that a contractor had split the line on 10th and Avenue O.

He said normally it would not be an issue because he works in a small office, but today  was different.

"There is not that many people in here so I didn't think itd be that big of a problem," Esparza said. "but then I have an eight piece band in the lobby and now it's a problem."

The city said the line has been repaired and water has been restored.
