Kansas came into Lubbock armed with their strongest weapon in James Sims and their run game.
The Jayhawks held their ground until
the end when the Red Raiders came out on top 41-34 in double overtime.
Kansas gained 390 yards rushing with backs Tony Pierson, racking up a career-high 202 yards on 16 carries, and James Sims, getting his sixth game with 100-plus rushing yards.
Coach Tuberville says while his defense has improved throughout the season so have other teams offenses.
