Convicted Murderer Sentenced to 99 Years in Prison

Convicted murderer Mitchell Wachholtz was sentenced to 99 years behind bars for the murder of 21-year-old Chase Pendleton.
Wacholtz won't be eligible for parole for 30 years.
Chase Pendleton's mother describes her son: "They had to know Chase. Out of my three children that I have, he was the quiet, most sensible, considerate. He'd give you the last dollar if he had it to just about anybody if he didn't know them."
A Lubbock jury took two hours to convict Mitchell Wachholtz for the murder of Chase Pendleton and just two more to decide his punishment.
"I don't hate the family, I don't hate, you know I just wanted justice for him, that's all I wanted," Chase's mother says.
Prosecutor Tray Payne says he's satisfied with the outcome.
"I think the verdict really means a lot to Chase Pendleton and the family and it's a lot, I guess, a sense of justice for them," Payne says.
But Chase Pendleton's mother knows she's not the only one who's lost a son.
"I feel for the mother, I mean the mother is the one suffering more of all. I know that first hand," she says.
