A wreck between two 18-wheelers on Highway 84 snarled traffic Monday afternoon.

The wreck happened just before 5:00 on Hwy 84 at the intersection of Olive St. near Jarvis Metals.

LPD officers on scene did not release any information about the wreck, which happened in the west-bound lanes.

The accident reduced west-bound traffic to one lane at first and, later, LPD officers detoured traffic around the accident entirely.

Lubbock firefighters and workers with TXDOT spent time soaking up a big spill left by the crash.

Traffic remained impacted past 6:00 p.m.

Both drivers sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
