Football fever is in full swing. The Red Raider season kicks off tomorrow, but if youre headed out to Jones Stadium to cheer them on, weve got a few things you should know. The Marsha Sharp Freeway is still under construction right next to the stadium, so try to get going early. Texas Tech police say to expect delays around the area. And some good news for students and fans who want to walk to the stadium: the pedestrain bridge that crosses the Marsha Sharp Freeway will officially be open Saturday morning! TXDOT has been working around the clock to make sure its ready for Saturdays game. Will Barnett of TXDOT, says, "Its obviously a much-needed safety feature for their student body as well as attendees of tSaturdays game to have a safe way to cross from the north end of the freeway to the south." Explains TTU Police Chief Ron Seacrist, "This year, were expecting to see a lot more issues on the city streets because of Marsha Sharp, but our main goal is to try and create a safe environment for everybody to come and have a good time at the game."
