According to the police warrant from Tuesday, Jacob Tanguma describes what happened Tuedsay that led to his 4 month old daughter's death.

In the warrant, Tanguma gives a statement in an interview to LPD, describing the events beginning at 10:45 Monday night, up through EMS arriving on scene.

Tanguma said he was fired from his job on Monday, and "was very stressed," according to the warrant.

Then, in the statement as a part of the warrant, details how around 1 a.m. Tuesday, his 4 month old Aubrie Morales "woke up and started screaming."

After he listed ways he calmed her, he said around 4 a.m., "he woke up because Aubrie was whining." He then said he changed her diaper and put her on the futon and she fell asleep.

According to the warrant, sometime before 10 a.m., "he woke up again because Aubrie was screaming. He picked her up and bounced her on his chest to calm her."

He then, according to the warrant, said she began screaming louder, so "he became angry" and "he then leaned over her and grabbed her throat with his hand and squeezed very tight in a strangling manner," then saying "he only did this for a couple seconds and let go."

He said Aubrie began crying louder.  He "was afraid this would wake up Duran", Duran being Darian Duran, who was Aubrie's mother.

According to the warrant, "he then placed his hand on her torso and pushed hard several times in a downward compressing motion," which he did three times. The third time, "he held his hand on her compressed torso for a minute."

According to the warrant, "Aubrie then stopped crying," and "when he finally let up on her torso her breathing was separated like she was laughing."

Then, according to the warrant, "she was quiet," and "he then sat beside her and rubber her belly," and then said "he must have fallen asleep at some point."  After that, according to the warrant, "he assumed Aubrie fell asleep."

The warrant then lists "the next thing he remembered he woke up and he was slouched over Aubrie."  Next, he said "Aubrie was between his right hip and the futon with her face against his hip."

According to the warrant, "he observed an unknown liquid on his shirt where he believed her mouth was." Tanguma then said "he noticed her lips were blue," and "there was a film on her lips from what appeared to be a dried unknown liquid."

Then, Tanguma said "he picked her up and she was limp," according to his statement in the warrant. That's when Tanguma called 9-1-1, where they instructed him to do CPR.

Tanguma had told 9-1-1 dispatchers that he awoke to find he had apparently smothered his daughter in his sleep.

Tanguma has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder.  He's being held in the Lubbock County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
