House In Southwest Lubbock Fully Engulfed in Flames

Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in southwest Lubbock.

It happened at 6906 91st street around 5:30 Saturday evening.

The blaze was so large commanders on scene called for a second wave of backup, making the fire a two-alarm fire..

The house is expected to be a total loss.

The home owner was not at home when the fire broke out.

LFD was able to save a dog that was trapped inside the burning house.
