Firefighters received a call around 5:30p.m. about a fire at 6906 91st St.

When crews arrived on scene they saw that the house was completely engulfed in flames and called for back up.

It took 10 trucks and 40 firefighters to put out the blaze.

Red Cross stepped in providing the family with immediate emergency assistance.

The home owners were not there when the house caught fire but the family's German Sheppard was, but luckily firefighters were able to rescue the dog.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
