Michaela MacDonald

Michaela MacDonald joined the KLBK News team in September of 2012. Michaela is originally from a small town in New Hampshire, but she is very excited to start her career here in Lubbock.
Michaela
graduated magna cum laude from Boston
University with a B.S. in
Broadcast Journalism and a B.A. in Political Science. Before joining KLBK News,
Michaela started her interning experience as an Investigative Unit intern with
WHDH-TV in Boston.
While
studying abroad in London,
Michaela interned with the CBS London Bureau during the Arab Spring, Japanese
Tsunami and Royal Wedding. Then the following summer, she learned more about
long-form journalism while interning with ABC 20/20 in New York City.
During her senior year, Michaela got more hands-on news training with New England Cable News, first as a morning show intern, then as a reporter intern.
Michaela was also a Reporter and Executive Producer for BUTV10's Telly Award Winning news-magazine show "Inside Boston."
Besides the
news, Michaela's great passion is travelling and she can't wait to explore Texas.
