A 10th Case of West Nile Virus Confirmed in Lubbock

A new case of west nile virus has been confirmed by the city of Lubbock.
Officials say the patient is between 50 and 70 years old and contracted the neuroinvasive west nile virus.
The victim did travel outside of Lubbock county in the two weeks prior to his illness.
This is the 10th case of neuroinvasive west nile virus in the city of Lubbock this year.
So far there is a total of 16 cases of the virus in Lubbock county.
