LPD responded to a bank robbery at the Plains Capitol Bank inside the mall late Saturday afternoon.
The call came in just before 5:00 Saturday night.
Officers quickly responded to the bank, located inside the mall near the Barnes & Nobles.
According to police, the suspect--who is described as a white male in his 30s, wearing a baseball cap, a hoodie and a goatee--walked into the bank with a bank bag, slid a note saying he had a gun to the teller and demanded cash.
Police say the man received an unknown amount of cash and left the mall.
There was no indication as to whether or not the suspect actually had a handgun with him.
Mall traffic was not affected by the robbery, as hundreds of holiday shoppers filled the halls.
The bank closed early following the robbery.

Police say the FBI has been notified about the robbery but nobody had responded as of 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
