Winter Weather Coming to the South Plains

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for
the Northwestern South Plains including Parmer, Castro, Bailey, Lamb,
Curry, & Roosevelt counties from 8:00 p.m. Sunday tight through 3:00 a.m. Monday.
We have the potential for snow accumulations around 1", possibly higher, in these counties.
Follow these tips to stay safe during this year's first winter weather event:
- Drive Carefully! Leave plenty of space between you and the car in front of you and make sure to leave the house with extra time to spare.
- There is also the possibility of limited visibilities so drive slowly.
- Don't forget to bring your pets and potted plants inside this evening!
- Don't forget to wrap up garden hoses and leave cabinet doors open this evening to prevent damage to your pipes!
