Two Brownfield High School students were arrested Wednesday for bringing guns to school.

Izaiah Piedra and Justin Rodriguez each face one count of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a weapon free zone. The charge is a state jail felony.

A written statement issued Thursday by Superintendent Jerry Jones said the two students were arrested Wednesday as they returned from Lunch.

Jones also said the situation remains under investigation.

Both students were released from the Terry County Jail on Thursday on $5,000 bond.
