New information in the hit and run accident that killed a Lubbock man.
Lubbock Police say they have 'executed a search warrant' for the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed 31-year-old John Elam.
Police say the hit and run happened around 2:30 Saturday morning.
Elam was walking north on Quaker near 13th when a vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
Elam's friends say they were with him at the local bar Speeds earlier Friday night, but that he had left by himself.
They say Elam lived at 13th and Milwaukee, but his roommate says she thinks he was probably confused and ended up on Quaker.
Now Elam's friends are left to remember him and hope whoever's responsible is caught.
"Everyone liked him. He was one of those guys you liked. He never had a problem with anybody. He was just always there for everybody and if you ever saw him and you had a problem, you could talk to him and he was there," Elam's friend Michael says.
