The driver a small passenger car was trapped for more than an hour after her car ran under a semi-truck.

The accident happened just after 10:30 Thursday night.

First responders were called to the overpass at Highway 84 and I-27 on a report that a car was wedged under a tractor trailer.

That's exactly what they found when they arrived on scene. The Lubbock Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life and spent more than an hour trying to free the driver.

Initial reports said the driver--who may have ran a red light, causing the crash--was in critical condition.
