Friday was the last day for folks in the Hub City to hear Lew Dees familiar voice on the radio. In his 47 years on the air, Lew Dee has worked at a number of South Plains radio and TV stations, including KSEL Channel 28 and 1590 KEND. Hes interviewed legends like Pat Boone and John Wayne, but says hell miss interacting with the people of the South Plains most of all. "Ive met a lot of people over all these years. A lot of them were young kids and now today I love it when they come up to me, look over at me and go hey I listened to you when I was a kid," says Dee. Dee and wife Diana ended their morning show on Stars 97 today. Lew will get away from the microphone, but will continue full time with the sales department for his station.
