Body Found in Central Lubbock; LPD Investigating as Homicide

Lubbock Police are investigating a dead body found overnight in central Lubbock as a possible homicide.

Police say they were called to the 5000 block of Avenue W just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

When they arrived, they tell us, they found a man who had sustained serious bodily injuries.

Police have not released the name of the man and say homicide detectives continue to investigate.

So far, LPD believes the man was murdered.
