In high school basketball, two teams that could be in the same district at the next realignment - Frenship and Cooper - got together for a non-district matchup out at The Tiger Pit.

Frenship started strong in the fourth when Joya Lemons found Malori Maddox with a nice bounce pass to make it 42-33.

But Cooper battled all the way back. Down two with under 20 seconds to go, Haley Bruedigam made a lay-up to tie it up at 43 and force overtime.

The Lady Pirates took momentum into the extra frame. Bridget Rampy got a bucket inside to extend the lead to four.

But Frenship was back within two with less than 20 seconds to go but Taylor Parr picked off Lauren Parkers pass. She was eventually fouled and made both free throws to seal the 52-48 overtime win for Cooper.
