Lubbock Cooper didnt get a chance to play Caprock in football but they were locked in on the hardwood out in Woodrow.

The Longhorns came out strong at the start when Javion Estrada hit from downtown to make it 5-0.

But Cooper came back.

McLane Sanderson assisted a Keenan Lewis lay-up to get the Pirates within one.

Then with time winding down in the first, Lewis found another hole in the Caprock defense and made a tough layup to put Cooper up by 1.

In the end, Caprock had the last laugh, winning 56-52.
